That look nice. I have ideas to do to make it different, Just thing that if it was in color. I can see it be similar to Kirby for a Pikman.
Maybe make the fairy like a bee, or add an elephant like trunk that it's mouth, like Spore's tadpole omnivore suckers. The trunk mouth could be simple stout or like a twisted pigtail stout.
Just suggestion, but if I could add a feature to add it be the stout idea and it would eat ants with it.
I had so much fun playing Fairy Song! The world is stunning, the characters are amazingly adorable and the controls are super smooth! What a great experience!
I loved this little game. The art direction is really cute and happy feeling. The world itself has me interested in playing more just to try and put things together and figure it out. My only real critique is that it would be nice if there was a way to change controls in the menu, in case one started playing with a control scheme they didn't like. But that's a very small issue in such a great game. Here's my first reactions in video form.

Glad you like the game, I do not know why I did not add the ability to change the controls during the game, it seems obvious to me now, sorry for that, also the game is not very well optimized ( so it's not just the fault of your computer Haha ) it was made for a jam initially, funny that you've seen the reference to Over The Garden Wall ^^ really cool to watch !
